The Journey of Techouse Library
Every successful journey begins with a vision—often at a time when the world least expects it. Techouse Library is one such story, born during one of the most uncertain phases in recent history—the COVID pandemic.
At a time when people were focused on saving their lives and money, and businesses were shutting down, the idea of starting something new seemed almost unrealistic. No one wanted to take risks. But in the middle of all this uncertainty, one vision stood strong—the vision to create a dedicated space where individuals could come to study, focus, and grow.
Starting a library in Govindpuram during COVID was not just challenging—it sounded impractical to many. Social distancing was the norm, and stepping out itself was a concern. People laughed at the idea, doubted its success, and questioned the decision. But belief has a way of pushing boundaries, and giving up was never an option.
The journey began with a simple yet bold step—converting a 4th floor space into a library. Many advised against it, saying that no one would climb up to the fourth floor just to study. But sometimes, success lies in doing what others are afraid to attempt.
The early days were filled with hard work and sacrifice. Living inside the library space for nearly a month during construction, sleeping on the floor, and spending 24 hours there became part of the routine. It wasn’t just about building a space—it was about building a dream, shaping every detail with care, and imagining a place that students would one day call their own.
Then came the first day.
The doors were open, the space was ready—but there was silence. Hours passed with no one walking in. It was a moment that could shake anyone’s confidence. But then came a single call—from someone looking for a library. That one moment marked the beginning of everything that followed.
From that first call to becoming a growing community, Techouse Library has come a long way. Each member, each struggle, each small victory has contributed to its journey.
Among all its chapters, Techouse Library (D Block) holds a special place in the heart. It represents not just a physical space, but memories, emotions, and the foundation of something meaningful.
This journey would not have been possible without the support and trust of every individual who became a part of it. Their belief turned a vision into reality.
And while the story so far has been incredible, it is far from over.
